    Mature shoots are much tougher and need to be peeled before eating and can be eaten raw, grilled, sautéed, pickled and more. Knotweed can also be used in pies. soups, aspics, sauces, jams, and chutneys, as many high-end restaurants are doing as they embrace the trend for foraged foods.Apr 22, 2020

    The nonsensical idea that diversity has improved London. There was plenty of community spirit during the blitz and into the 50s and 60s before unbridled immigration began to erode the British, nay English, way of life. Now people are splintered into factions by identity politics but try to persuade themselves Londoners are all living in harmony. What a multi-racial cess-pit London is now.

    Science, Japanese knotweed is the most concentrated source of resveratol we've ever found! East Asians, it's a perennial vegetable and good medicine. Westerners it's evil, the only good knotweed is dead knotweed (mindless shrieking). If only there was some way we could learn from other cultures.

    Lemme save you 40 minutes. Knotweed is knot a problem. All you gotta do is get some garden variety scissors, cut it into manageable portions and roll it into an expansion joint. I won't lie, the only unmanageable thing about knotweed is how high it gets you when you smoke it down. It's the highest I've ever been, my mind snapped like a carrot. You know it's pure when you see those orange flecks. Just seconds after smoking a knotweed blunt I was flying high man, I started licking walls and eating dog food. When I came to I'd blown a load in my pants and had to throw out my boxers. Put me in a state of vegetative regeneration for a week. It was well worth the sacrifice.

    A remarkable man, with a remarkable message: Conservation has changed: In the early days: from missions to go out to discover and collect the rarest animals and plants To realising their mission was actually about trying to save these rare species (Giant Panda, Gorilla etc). Then we realised that just saving one animal by itself was of no consequence, and that what we really needed to do was to save the entire ecosystem: from tropical rain forest to woods and habitats in our own country. But now we realise it is not just isolated ecosystems that are in danger but it is our entire world. We now realise that we are part of the natural world and that this world is on our doorstep, and that as we are part of the natural ecosystem, we have to save those natural ecosystems to save ourselves. And we have come to realise we are at a hinge moment as things are not looking good. We are starting to realise that we first need to convince people of the urgency of this matter. We have to convince people of the beauty and of importance of the natural world. The problem is that the majority of humans - the UN say over 50% of the world’s population - are now urbanised and out of touch with the natural world. But they have to be allowed to see it to understand it, to learn to love it. And how do we enable that? For the majority of human beings it has to start on their doorstep and into their gardens and local green places - if they are lucky enough to have them. And so the people who make that happen are the people who bring the beauties and the realities of the natural world in front of human beings, worldwide. And that is (amongst others) us!

    Knotweed also spreads by beaver cutting it down and dragging it in to the river. I have seen creeks with dams made of knotweed. One stem gets stuck on a rock, more stems pile up on top of it forming a natural dam and the knotweed was happily growing in the middle of the creek. In my opinion, Beaver activity and high water events are the most common way knotweed spreads.

    • @BOOBYFACEMAN
      @BOOBYFACEMAN 4 роки тому

      @@ashmahmood851 Hey Ash, The eradication with round up seemed to work for a season. But it did not. I tried spraying the leaves which killed the plant but not the roots, I have the knotweed injector which is better but still has issues. Once you get it into the plant its tough to get the poison into the root without it spraying back at you. This year I'm going to just mow over them, until fall. Then I will use the GreenShootsOnline spray. It has a much higher concentration of the Glyophosphate than roundup, and its a foam that sits on top of the cut stem. If that doesnt work I'm going to try and dig up as much of the root system as possible, torch the whole fucking yard with napalm, bring in tons of fresh rock, cover it with concrete, then more dirt, then grass. :) Good luck
